Awww, Xinhua thinks Warwick is in California! Well, close enough.

"Test results on an elementary school student in Coventry of California who contracted meningitis showed the child did not have the same bacteria that killed a second-grader in Warwick last month, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Mycoplasma bacteria was blamed for the cases of encephalitis in Warwick and West Warwick of California in the last few weeks. A student died from the neurological illness last month, the report said. "
LINK from the delightfully confused Chinese state news agency Xinhua. I do love them.

There is actually an update on the Warwick RHODE ISLAND meningitis/encephalitis/walking pneumonia/black plague scare from the New York Times, who is predictably a little more geographically on the ball. (but hey, do you know the provinces in China? Well, you might. I don't.)
"Schools in three communities decided to reopen Monday after health investigators found no link between an elementary school student who contracted meningitis and three others in the state who were infected with encephalitis, including one who died." LINK
